The key takeaway from your elections is that America needs and wants a leader they can trust to lead. That doesn't mean override their individual concerns, like abortion, or inflation, or whatever, but rising above that. Florida has a total spectrum of views, but I think despite that De Santis won as an encompassing leader more than he did as as a Republican. He could do the same for the whole nation.

We want competent management of an already great system--NOT fundamental change as in a new constitution, or form of government. I think leftists consider an election as a mandate for revolution--not so!

I am not concerned about EMP. I live a couple of miles from the Camp Stanley depot (also known as the Midwest depot). And about 30 miles from the former Medina AFB, now Lackland Annex. It will not effect me, I will be fried long before EMP.

Unbelievable and cringeworthy. He sees nothing wrong with the things he says and does. He’s threatened and lashing out like a spoiled brat as his ship takes on water. How this stuff can be seen as anything but pathetic is beyond me.

Talking to the people in my circles, they are Trump supporters. This actions did not sit well with them. DeSantis is doing something right look at his vote numbers compared to the people that Trump supported.

If feels like his logic of doing what is best for our country is being replaced with being jaded about the past election. Knew a guy that was fired from a company, he could not get past it. Always would being it up until the day he passed away. Most have that moment in life where you have a cross road that will define your life. Some overcome some can't get past it. I'm only a few miles from Schreiver AFB, Peterson AFB, Ft Carson, Norad. I'll be cooked beyond well done at the same time as you; unless I'm in the mountains hunting, then there might be a chance I have to deal with EMP effects.

Somebody correct me if this is not correct; isn't an EMP only effective on immediate impact, no residual effect, and only effective on an active circuit? If a device is not under power, it shouldn't be "killed".

I don’t think you’re reading incorrectly. I’m hearing the same. People I know that have literally worn out two or more MAGA hats from wearing them everyday for years are now starting to utter the “that’s enough” type grumblings.
He’s making himself more toxic to the party daily. I figure he’ll run and when he does it’ll only get worse. Best to hope for then is that he gets taken out in an early primary and makes himself irrelevant. Hopefully then the middle-of-the-road voters can get on board with straightening this nightmare out. A good, sensible candidate might be able to bring things together without the orange storm cloud hanging over everything.
It’s sad really. The potential the man had to continue and add to the great things that helped this country had no bounds…except for his ego.

I'm no expert, but an EMP causes a huge magnetic pulse that is like a giant short circuit effect. All resistors, capacitors, microchips, etc, are snuffed out.

A nuclear warhead is detonated about 200 miles above earth over the center of the desired radius.
