These size base pricing models are always a turnoff for me. There are certainly reputable companies that (imo unfortunately) do that, but there are also a lot of "put and take" companies that use that pricing model. Regardless, I would ensure in writing the price you pay is the size quoted while the animal is still alive. I would not want the PH to make a mistake or be a sneaky bastard and tell you it's 54" and then all of a sudden on the ground it is 57" --- if they make an error in judgement, it's on them
