I just got back from SA. This was my first buffalo hunt.
I highly recommend Ken Moody Safaris. They definitely know what they are doing. There were seven of us and every single one of us got a buffalo.

How many properties were the 7 of you hunting? How many opportunities at different buffalo did you have or could have had?

Congrats on a great hunt!

The main property was where we stayed and was 30,000 acres. There were several other properties that we hunted on as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had access to at least 100,000 acres.
I chased a group of five bulls around for two days before getting on the track of this one. He measured 44 1/8” and they said after weighing the carcass that on the hoof he would be right at a ton.
If you visit their Facebook page you can see what we all got. Everyone was on buffalo every day. A couple of great crocs and a bunch of plains game were taken as well. Food, hospitality and expertise were all great. The PH s and trackers were outstanding. We had a wonderful time.
The only real downside was the trip home through Chicago. UNBELIEVABLY long lines at customs. It was worth it! Trip of a lifetime.
I promise Ken Moody is the real deal.

Glad you had a good hunt.

Congrats on a great buffalo what calibre did you use and bullets I see its a CZ550?

It is a .416 Rigby with 400 gr. Barnes tsx. I didn’t get the bullet from the Buffalo, but the one taken from the sable was a perfect mushroom.
Others had the same experience with these bullets.

Congrats on a great trophy!! 100% success is hard to beat. What a great hunt ya'll had.

Congrats on a great old buff !

Congratulations on a good hunt. Hunted with him 3 years ago. Very nice outfit. You forgot to mention his wonderful wife--quite a pair. Lots and lots of fun.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
