The Kalibhit Man-Eater - An Absolute Classic

You could be dead wrong. Do not ruin a great hunting tale by giving vent to your Muslim bigotry. The absolutely unchecked growth of Muslim population is the reason why wildlife is under threat in India. Muslims refuse to adhere to family planning, practice polygamy and reproduce more than rabbits. Their medieval beliefs and refusal to assimilate have made them unwelcome outside the Islamic world. Hence the restrictions in India. I did not want to say all this but you have forced me to do so.
The only real bigot I see here ... Is you . I never talked about all Hindus . I spoke about Radical Hinduism and their vegan beliefs .

But you want to label every Muslim as evil and depraved . That tells the members of this forum more about you than it does about me . This is some thing that neither Anayeth not I have done . Your knowledge about Islam is about as less as your knowledge about hunting .

So now Muslims are to blame for the decline of wildlife in India and i presume also for the pollution and environmental degradation in that country as well?? But a billion Hindus bear no responsibility for it?

I guess Muslims are also to blame for polluting the sacred Ganges river? These people who are defecting, throwing garbage and throwing human corpses in the Ganges are all Muslims right? https://www.planetcustodian.com/ove...d-river-ganges-that-went-viral-in-china/8134/

As far as I know though water burials are a Hindu custom not really an Islamic one.

Major Sir, do you think this dude maybe in league with those Indian trolls who led to Mr. Rahman leaving the forum? I notice a similar pattern here...

You were, one, of the many employees of the Allwyn Cooper Shikar Company owned by my friend Vidya Charan Shukla. You were not a Shikaree nor the Head Shikraee, I have never heard your name being mentioned by the Late Shri VC Shukla. Many of your posts are nothing but utter nonsense.

What kind of work does the employee of a shikar outfitting company do ? I know each and every member of Allwyn Cooper Limited including Rao Naidu , Suresh Thakur , Tobin Stakkatz , Francis Diaz and Ajay Kumar Reddy . I know every rifle they used . Every favorite game animal of theirs .

I know more about them than you can dream of knowing .

Let it be , Dragan . As long as educated people like you can read between the lines ... I am content .

@Dragan N.
You are an exceptionally insightful gentleman . The world needs more people like you who are willing to stand up for what is true , fair and just .

I understand that some of these topics are delicate and sensitive, just want to make sure that the conversation stays respectful and does not devolve. We can all have and hold our own opinions but we need to remain respectful if we don't agree. If you don't agree and you cannot be respectful then do not participate in this thread.

@AfricaHunting.com
Yes , Sir .

shooter 50,

i think you took an excellent story and a sort of history lesson and turned it into a petty public argument for who knows what reason. if you have a beef with the professor or the major, voice it privately. i am disappointed that you would try to disparage these gentlemen.

if you have some great hunting stories, lets hear em. if not then i would RESPECTFULLY ask that you keep your petty (and apparently historically wrong) gripes to yourself, thank you

We don't seem to be alone

I happen to possess dual citizenship in the United States and own a second home in Hill Country , Texas for the last 25 years . Donald Trump is actually a pretty decent human being and far less Islamophobic than the cow urine drinking BJP filth who run India now . Americans are far more decent people than the kind of cultists who control India now .

He hates Radical Muslims , just like any normal person should . No one hates Radical Islam more than I do . I specifically fought in a war against those sort of people . But radical Hinduism is just as bad as radical Islam . Whether you accept or deny that , is up to you . Fanaticism of any religion ( be it Islam , Hinduism , Christianity , Buddhism or Judaism ) is problematic .

Vegetarians do not like hunting . Radical Hindus ( such as Jains ) are invariably vegetarian . Their religious beliefs do not lend them to having a positive view on hunting . It was these people who got hunting banned in India in 1972 . I would not even bring religion up in this topic . I only did so because it is directly related to why hunting got banned in India . What these people do ( unrelated to hunting ) does not concern me even one bit . Whether they are burning widows alive on funeral pyres or feeding on spoonfuls of cow dung .

On a related subject , you claim to know a lot about hunting for somebody who lives in a country where hunting was banned 48 years ago . And I am not sure that you ever told any of us about what kind of hunting you really do .

Sorry , All I did was to post an absolute classic hunting story from the Jungles of Central India. The responses I got from these gentleman had nothing to do with the story but reflected their own social and religious beliefs. When they crossed the threshold I had to respond. Nothing for me to be dissapointed about.

Thank you for sharing this story, what an adventure!

I thought this was a forum restricted to hunting, not a place to expound religious or social beliefs and opinions.
It seems to me that any time religion, politics and hunting are all mixed together there will be problems. People that were there, and had their way of life disrupted by it, and in fact their lives uprooted by it, have a right to express their opinions. This does in fact have everything to do with hunting.

I apologize for not including a glossary for the tale uses many words native to India
British Raj : The period of British rule in India
Verandha: A porch, usually wrap around (3 sided)in Jungle rest houses
Cheetal or Chital: Indian spotted Deer
Laathi: A long stick 1-2 inches thick, carried by Jungle folk as a weapon of self defense, some may carry an Axe
Nullah: A small river. Rain fed and seasonal, drying up in the summer
DFO: District Forest Officer
Holkars: One of the many Hindu Kingdoms which coexisted with the British rule
Gonds: One of the aboriginal tribes of Central India. Name drawn from Gondwanaland.
Machan: A platform, usually a cot perched up a tree, where the hunter can sit up and wait for the tiger over a bait. Pronounced Maachaan, not Makan as in the movie Ghost and The Darkness
Jungle Jalebi: Manilla Tamarind or Madras Thorn, a flowering tree of the pea family with an edible fruit
Punditji: The village priest
Bapu: Father.

Oh my . Getting called a " Religious Bigot " for telling the truth about why hunting was actually banned in India . And that too ... By some body who clearly has no idea about what actually happened .

Any body who knows me on this forum long enough ( which is almost every body ) ... Will know exactly how much of a " religious bigot " I really am . I do not even NEED to clarify that to any body .

Hunting in India got banned because of a group of radical socialist vegan Hindus . The same people who would ban all meat eating in India ... If they could ( and they HAVe succeeded in largely making it taboo in many parts of India ) .

By the way ... The author of your article was a notorious anti hunter himself . Killing a few man eaters out of necessity is not the same as supporting recreational hunting .
Major Khan
I have enjoyed your stories of a age long gone that should have stayed. Like my hunting in Africa in the 70s good times not forgotten. Write on will read with complete enjoyment
