Curious to see what action people are taking for the Coronavirus

I was exposed to someone that has the virus in a two hour meeting 11 days ago (no symptoms so far), so have been working from home and will stay until next Wednesday (14 days after the exposure). My employees are either in the field (we are an essential infrastructure firm) only in emergencies or working from home.

I am also reloading. The goal is to load about 30K rounds by the end of this stay at home stuff.

Sgt Zim,
So you are a Brother Mason, also. All Masonic lodges and functions in NV are close til sometime in April. Kind of a forced stand down for those of us who are quite active in Lodge. I'm a PM and Trustee (Douglas 12 in Genoa, NV) and do most of the maintenance work in and around my lodge. What lodge do you attend? We have several transplanted Texans in our lodge.

I’m an ENT surgeon in Joplin MO. I’m crazy scared about all this and won’t be seeing any “non-emergent” patients or doing any real surgery for the foreseeable future except when I’m on my call week which begins Thursday. We don’t have enough PPEs. Just insane. Please pray for us in the medical field and pray hard... I was supposed to be in the 29th Degree today at Valley of Joplin- I’m the director of the degree. So for all you Brothers out there- please keep us in your prayers while those of us in health care need it!

I'm staying home here on the farm with my wife. We got enough to do around here. Could stay here indefinitely if we had to.

I'm practicing social distancing. Once I'm a few miles off-shore, all I can catch is supper. This is my social distancing machine.

Still working here in MN. We have limited meetings with clients and are trying to do as much as we can over the phone.
I’ve been able to get back to running after a 5 week recovery from a calf tear. Any amount of exercise now helps to calm the ever present anxiety.
Both kids are home, my 16 yr old is doing on-line classes. My son (14) is trying only to do online video games.
Every day I get to work feels like a blessing. I am spending more time in prayer.

I am locked down with my son and mother. My mother and I have been in since the the 9th. I did go to the landfill, the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, and to fill up the tank on my truck. My son has been here since he got out of school on the 12th. He has been to the store twice and to his sisters apartment to take her some dogfood. I have no plans at all now.

Sounds like a good plan. I bet after this is over there will be federal and state directives for every school to be prepared to shift to 100% online classes.

Working from home since tuesday. Not shopping every day. Went to the shooting range on saturday: there were a few others there too, but we didnt shake hands or even go very close to each other. A couple of walks in the woods now on sunday. Once with the mrs. who is recovering from a knee injury and once on my own. No crowds there either.

My mother's funeral in about two weeks will be a very small event.

I am sorry for your loss. I assume since Finland only has one death that your mother past from other causes.

Spanking would return and that would instigate millions of cases of child abuse. Not going to happen. That and you are discounting the teachers' unions. This country needs more, not less jobs.

That really is funny. I actually chuckled, which is rare these days.

Wish I could hold up for awhile but I work in a gunshop here in Texas. Sales are very brisk and having to be around so many people is worrisome. We are taking all the precautions we can, wearing gloves and disinfecting counters and doors as much as possible. Unless we get put on a mandatory lockdown I expect I will work normal hours as always.
On a side note. I have a CZ 550 at AHR and talked to Wayne on Friday. He may have it finished this week. Number 1 upgrade along with glass bedding and mercury reducer. I cant wait to het it back!

Good news on the CZ-550. What caliber?

Honestly.. Not taking any real action at all other than not currently traveling.. and thats more a result of the people I would normally travel to go see (work related) have either closed their offices, arent really wanting or calling for meetings, etc..

I've worked "remotely" for over a decade at this point.. so when not traveling for work (typically maybe 25%) I already worked from home..

I have always shopped at costco for paper products.. and coincidentally, about a week before the COVID TP hoarding thing became envogue, we had just bought a 48 roll pack, as well as paper towels, etc.. so no reason to go crazy there..

Im by no means a prepper, survivalist, etc.. but I am a hunter.. and typically do a pretty decent job of keeping the freezer full.. and again, shop at costco pretty regularly.. so there is always a 20lb bag of rice and a 20lb bag of beans in the pantry, among other things.. (we're having elk medallions for dinner tonight by the way :) ).. Im guessing we've always got a month or more worth of food on hand at any given time without actually needing to stock up on anything..

And like most here, I've got a bit of a gun habit going on.. and always keep a pretty solid supply of ammo, reloading supplies, etc.. on hand... so no reason to rush out to Academy Sports and stock up for the pending apocalypse like so many people seem to be doing right now..

In short.. Life really hasnt changed much at all.. Still working the same way.. still eating the same way.. still got the same guns and ammo in the same safe and closet.. and still able to keep my hind parts clean.. without any additional effort, stress, or drama just yet...

All I am doing here in NC is what I do every day. So far I pretty much have to go to work to do my job. I can't fix a radar from home. I did some math on Thursday and I came up with .009% of everyone in the US infected and, since I usually go with the odds, I don't worry. That number is even smaller in NC. Corona has stopped being a joke though when it has caused the delay of the opening of the new Bond movie and screwed up the Formula One season.

Hello, Brother,
Good to hear from you. I had no idea there are so many of us on here. Might be interesting to hear from all the Masons out there. Speak up, Brothers.
Texas lodge #473 Grapeland and our lodge was closed today until further notice.
Church activities are cancelled, although there is a lot more phone calls to check on each other.
Sportsman's club is cancelled, we offered some scholarships to high school seniors just before the coronavirus became an issue so we're trying to figure out if the students got notified and if the submittal due date should be extended.
Otherwise we have several acres to "stay home" on so other than not visiting with friends in person, it's not that much of a hardship.

I check in with my two children and their families every couple days, all are good to date. Today I spent most of the day birding at a few reservoirs for waterfowl heading north, not many species but some big numbers of ruddy ducks, lesser scaup, ringnecks, buffleheads, red-breasted mergansers and a few common loons changing into summer plumage. Lots of people fishing as well, nice to see. Tomorrow I think our office will shut down into early April. Parts of life will be on hold for awhile but I have plenty of home stuff to take care of for a bit. Really happy I was able to hunt with @gizmo last month, my freezer is full.

I absolutely refuse to buy into this nonsense. I am carrying on with life as normal as possible with all the fear mongering going on. I’m working both at the studio and the ranch. I think this entire Corona Virus crap is a load of bull sh$t. Yes it’s a virus, yes it’s contagious, but we have 2 cases locally in a city of 200k people and an area of about 350k. Pretty low odds. My biggest fear is this over reaction BS is going to set a precedent so the whole damn country is going to loose their collective nuggets every time someone gets the sniffles anywhere.
Yip it’s a different cat than the flu but still it hasn’t had the global effect in deaths and sick people as the common damn flu does annually. This whole thing has been blown waaaaay out of proportion and it’s starting to effect how many people make their livings. I’ve been applauded at how stupid a huge percentage of the population has acted over this. God forbid any real disaster on a large scale ever happen. I’d hate to see what the sheep do then.
