I bought these 3 days ago at SCI from African Sporting Creations and wore them twice before they just do not work with my foot shape. They are as close to new as you could ask for. Size 9.5 D the narrower width. They will come with the bag, and cleaning kit. I paid 400 for these asking 300 shipped. I would just like to recoup some of my money.

Likewise!! Someday a size 14 will pop up hahaha

best of luck with the sale!!

Appreciate it. It kills me that they dont work, I have wanted a pair for 8 years and they just dont quite work

Did you ask ASC about taking them back?

You should ask. The minute someone puts them on their feet, they are used. Its done all the time. They might take them back for a better fitting pair. Ask.

Bought a pair of Courtneys in Zim at a bargain (compared to prices here) a while back. They ended up hurting my feet, so sitting in a closet. I just ordered my third pair of Russell PH boots, should not have gone cheap.

Feet are funny. :) I wore PH’s on my first trip to Africa. They had the canvas top and were ideal mucking around in the Caprivi, but I was underwhelmed in the high desert. The next trip I wore Courtney’s and have never looked back. I have three pair and the Russels went to good will. It is very much an individual thing.

I too would contact them about an exchange. The standard width might make all the difference.

I tried on the standard width as well and my feet were swimming in them. My issue is that my toes curl up and press into the top of the shoe.

Agree with some of the others - if you've only worn them inside and there's really no marks call ASC and I'm sure Jim will swap them to a pair that fits better.

I wear the narrow width. Unfortunately my feet are 10.5, or I would jump on these. Best of luck trading them in or selling them!

Check with Jim, if he won’t take them back I will take them. I’m betting that Jim will help you out.

There really isn't much toe box on those is there? Perhaps a half size larger would help.

I tried them at Cambanos and Son in Johannesburg. I could not find a pair that fit my foot. Not every shoe/boot fits every foot.

Nice looking boots. I don’t know anything about the Courteney brand, but from the photos showing the multiple stitching lines, they look like their well made? What kind of soles/tread do they have? Thanks!

Extremely well made, they have a thick tire tread sole. I have wanted a pair for a long time and then turns out my mutant feet qomt fit. I will just have to stick to my lowas.

Gentlemen,

I offered to take them back when he contacted me but he said he did not feel right about doing that as they were worn. As a compromise, I told him whatever he "lost" in the process would be given back to him as a store credit or refund. I was pleasantly surprised by how many of you said we would help him out. Thank you for the votes of confidence!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
