I have one of these in the takedown format. The ballistics of the 457WWG are pretty potent - I'll say it- it's pushing into buffalo gun territory. I used a 375 Ruger on my buff, but did consider my Wild West 457 because it is some power in a very compact package.

The 457 WWG pushes a 350 grain 45 caliber bullet at about 2200 fps. It can also shoot standard 45/70 loads and .410 shot shells.

It's a slightly lengthened 45/70. It can be loaded with the same 458 Diameter bullets and achieves more velocity than the 45/70 from the same Marlin rifle platform. A 420 grain bullet can be driven to 2000 fps in an 18" barrel.

This doesn't have their big loo lever, anything else on it differ from what their current package includes? Do you have an itemized list of the gunsmith work included?

I looked this rifle up on their website, and it appears the newer models have a laminated stock and stainless finish. Other than being cerakoted and having a walnut stock, I assume all the other bells and whistles are the same on this one.
