Trump Tweets About Farm Murders

Doing a lot of reading and research and I would not hesitate going to South Africa to hunt this year or next. Like the U.S. news media it's mostly all noise preceding an election year. Staying away would be like not going to Kansas because they have tornadoes or Florida because they experience hurricanes. For the newbies, I firmly believe you will find your outfitter will take the same care of your well being as he does for his own family members. Go with a reputable venue/outfitter/ph and the odds of something untoward happening are slim and none.

It may be true in some cases but on the farm I hunted, the great grandfather BOUGHT the land from the Crown during Queen Victoria's reign! They didn't steal it from anyone. A copy of the original bill of sale is hanging on a wall and from what I can deduce, there was an amendment to some legislation in England's parliament that allowed the purchase. Previous to that time, it could only be a lease.

If your worried about a deposit then you might wish to consider using a reputable booking agent that hold most, if not all, deposits until you actually go. Once there any outfittor will go to extremes to keep you safe. It should not be a deciding factor of whether to go or not.

sooner cant happen. i have funds and vacation time devoted to other hunts for 2018/2019. earliest i will be able to hunt is 2020. so i will wait and see what happens, but i wont be sending anyone any deposits for sure.
Secure you trip with insurance. Ripcord/Redpoint is who was recommended to me and it's full coverage. Any loss of time, medical, evacuation, airfare situation ect. I'm paying as I pay the trip off. Total cost on about a 20K hunt is about one thousand dollars. Well worth it in my opinion. I am making insurance payments and as I make payments towards the hunt. I call and insure sure my the money I just paid.

i believe i read somewhere here where trip insurance is void when the trip is interfered with by government

Damn clauses. Yea I believe it, like acts of terrorism, natural disaster ect. Tough decision.

Any of us that will be or may be booked in S.A. next year need to find some way (if possible) of guaranteeing our deposits. I for one have no idea of how to do so.

I was planning on booking a Buff and plains game hunt In SA for 2019. I am also considering Zimbabwe. Which ever way I go, I will book now as near as possible to the hunt date. I may be wrong but I feel I will subject myself to less risk of loosing a down payment. Heck, I might even get a better deal last minute.

If the RSA National Assembly is not dissolved before 6 May 2019, the election must be held by 4 August 2019.

Can you note any similarities between the two elections? eg.

South Africa's ANC to change constitution to allow seizing land

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced plans to change the country's constitution so farmlands can be seized without compensation. White farmers still own far more land than the black majority.

The ruling party in South Africa, African National Congress (ANC), will submit a proposal to amend the country's constitution to help push through its land reform, the country's President Cyril Ramaphosa told the nation on Tuesday.

The controversial reform would allow the government to take land from white farmers without paying for it.

"It has become patently clear that our people want the constitution to be more explicit about expropriation of land without compensation," Ramaphosa said in a televised address.

"The ANC will, through the parliamentary process, finalize a proposed amendment to the constitution that outlines more clearly the conditions under which expropriation of land without compensation can be effected," he added.

Check with Travelguard and Ripcord before making any assumptions about coverage or taking as gospel internet claptrap. Travelguard covers terrorism and optional cancel for any reason coverage.
