Anyone know where to get this in the great white north? I contacted the manufacturer and they directed me to an online sales agent based in Florida. I place my order a month ago, heard nothing until today, when I just had my order refunded.

I feel rejected.:(

Any leads in Canada would be appreciated. It sounds like good stuff.

I purchased through amazon.com.

Not sure if Permethrin can be shipped to Canada, but I didn't see a restriction listed as you often do.

Permethrin spray is not legal for sale in Canada.

If you have it you can use it. In the Army we have to take our clothes in and have them sprayed, we are not allowed to keep the spray cans. Para 5 in the link seems however to offer a loophole to be explored?

I picked some up at UFA a few years back. Ranchers have all the good stuff ;)

I did the same thing. Good stuff and much cheaper do it this way:

I just drive across the border to Ogdensburg and buy it at Walmart. ;) Place if full of Canadian plates. BTW I used to work for DND and Health and while we are allowed to scrub our heads and crotch with the stuff it is verboten to put it on your clothes

I use the same or similar stuff as above. Get it as Sheep/Goat dip at the farm store or insecticide as above. Dilute with water to 1%. Soak clothes for a couple hours. Enjoy the rest of the year tick and chigger free.

I've used sawyer's before.... can be purchased at amazon & cabelas. Good stuff.

your welcome :)
I'm an avid camper and had a tick embedded in me once while walking near a marsh in Ontario. No tweezers, I tried to get him out with my fingernails but I lost its head under my skin. Doctor put me on oral and topical anti-bios because it wasn't healing... Lyme disease is not funny stuff. Anyways Doctor told me about permethrin, so I started soaking my outer camping clothing and gear... I have never seen a tick on me since. I read there is a growing tick population in Canada. Permethrin seems to be the only safe proven preventive. I wont go in the bush without treated clothing after my experience. It even keeps the mosquitoes from landing on me. They fly around but dont land. Bonus.

@Pheroze that website clearly states and outlines in red that you need a pesticide license to buy from them. Most of us campers and hunters dont have one.
I did some research to find anything over 1.5% concentrate is a carcinogen. They ban this stuff because they fear the population wont dispose of the waste proper, it is highly toxic to fish and cats in a liquid form. Government likes to think of us as children. I believe Canada are the only ones in the world that ban it, but they also report its the only thing that works against ticks and chiggers

The 1.25% Permethrin concentrate at https://www.thekoregarden.ca/product/garden-protector-spray-insecticide/
is the safest I found for sale and use in Canada.
ideal range is to dilute to .5% for soaking clothes and spraying gear. Found to be 100% safe on humans once dry, also once its dry.. sweat or rain will not effect it and make it toxic again. I read however some people who are sensitive can form tingle sensations and or itching, but I never experienced either.
you further dilute to .2% to protect plants and around your house from other creepy critters.
make sure you use gloves and dont mix in range of a cat, or throw the waste in the river, or down the sink.
Good luck everyone the great weather is upon us, and with this stuff I can keep enjoying it outdoors.
