First to the forum I want to apologize one last time for the mess I created Friday. Hopefully that doesn't happen again. Thanks to Jerome for hopefully deleting the mess I created!!!

Today I have two Lipsey Ruger .275 Rigbys for sale. One is the Hawkeye Safari, the other is the # 1 in .275 Rigby. Both are new, unfired, with the box. The #1 has a Kahles 3x9x42 scope mounted. Both rifles were bought by Wildman Arms in 2017 from Lipseys. The Hawkeye has been in storage since then. The #1 was sold to the current owner where he mounted the Kahles scope and it too remains unfired.

Question for anyone... is the .275 the same as (or close to a 7x57)?

Question for anyone... is the .275 the same as (or close to a 7x57)?
I was off line for about 45 minutes. Hitman and West answered your question!

Thanks for the answer guys!
I did shoot 7x57 a few years back in SA and loved it!

The 7mm Mauser is a remarkable cartridge, the #1 allows (in my opinion) the shooter to really harness the brilliance of the 7x57 cartridge without the need for more capacity. Load heavy, load hot and she shines beautifully. I don't know if you would need to AI the chamber, but I would love to run a 150/160 gr at around 2800 and 190 gr claw at around 2400. I've had nothing but good experiences with the cartridge, it's really sweet shooting.

These were highly anticipated. Rifles.....why selling?

I’d loooove to have the Hawkeye but no $$$$$ at the moment.

Both rifles were bought last summer by different individuals through Wildman Arms for the purpose of holding on to them and to resale at some point to hopefully make a little money. Both of these rifles have been sold out at Lipseys for some time now. The current Lipsey Ruger rifle for sale is the 6.5 x 55 Swede. One of these individuals has bought 1 or 2 or these and will hold on to them until he thinks he can sell it for a premium. The Swede is much less valuable at this time because your local gun shop can still order one through Lipsey. I already own a Hawkeye Safari .275 I bought when they first came out. But it probably has 150 rounds through it. These two rifles listed are unfired and in the box. Only the scope has been added to the #1, but as mentioned the owner will remove it if need be to sell the rifle.

Hi Gizmo, PM me and let me know when you have the $$$$. I may have access to another if this one sells. Then make an offer, the worse thing that can happen is we say no!

I’ll keep you posted but it’s going to be a while.

Possibly a great idea, but damn sure a great quote!

So, I've decided that it will make a wonderful 23rd bday present for me... So how you gonna get it to me?? :P

Would like to send it directly to you. BUT...You will have to find a South African firearms importer who already has an exporter he works with in the U.S. Only then can we make it work, and it will likely double the price of the rifle for you. You find that importer in S.A. then we can probably make it work!

The Ruger #1 is very intriguing for sure!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
