The bongo hunting season in Congo is over and I am back home for some weeks before going to Benin.
Well, I can say it was hard being in the rain forest... for so long. The weather is quite hard to handle, the humidity kills the white people... BUT we had fun in the jungle and most of the hunters got their bongo.
It is really a fantastic hunting experience, none of the guests found it boring !!!
If any of you have any requests let me know.
Enjoy the Bongos we got this season.
Best

All beautiful bulls. I believe I saw a pic of that first one on Facebook today. This keyboard bongo judge believes that one to be quite exceptional. Horns appear to be extra heavy with a lot of twist.

How did I do?

Edit: And after this post I read @Environ's report, looks to be the same bull.

Thank you for sharing your success of the year with us.
Bongo trophies is outstanding - not only a trophy to cherish, but the experience is exceptional. Enjoy being "back home" for a while...

Thanks for sharing! Would love to visit there with you someday!

Fabulous trophies. One I can only dream of hunting. Out of curiosity what is the success rate?

Hunting in proper jungle like that is hard yakka (work). Well done getting your clients on to such good bulls.

I don't really like to talk about success rate, there is not much sense for me... Remember it is the rain forest, it is wild and very big... Hunting is more about the experience, the quest of something special...
Of course I understand that most of you guys need a rate, so this year only one hunter did not kill a bongo.

I would consider that a very good success rate given you are hunting in rain forest/proper jungle. Bloody thick vegitation and limited vision.

This would be my dream hunt, too bad I can't stand the heat and humidity now. Beautiful animals!

Lovely trophy. Yes the humidity just drains you. I live in the tropics and I can vouch for that.
Congratulations on such a beautiful animal.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
