I'm really digging the porcupine pig lamp.

That lamp is very nice and you took some nice pigs with good tusk

The Warthogs have been in your way a lot in Africa. :)

Glad you got everything up and looking the way you want it. Congrats.

OK, that's a great reason to get a porcupine! Nice displays!

like the porky lamp and wine bottle holder
who did the taxidermy work?

I like everything, very creative. Forrest

Very cool. That bottle holder is great, neat idea!

Very nice additions!

Wine bottle rack is very cool!

Congrats....I like the wine holder. Everything looks great.

Lol... We love hunting warthogs. We have hunted them pretty hard in past trips, but a true giant had eluded us until this last safari. Our efforts finally paid off. We actually killed 4 over 10" on that last trip, with the biggest at 14". I doubt that I will top that in this lifetime.

The Animal Gallery in Miami, Fl. does all of my taxidermy work. In my opinion, Jose Hernandez is one of the best. I'm lucky to have him within driving distance.

I actually created the lamp and the wine rack mostly myself. I saw similar pieces for sale by one of the vendors at SCI a couple of years ago. I kind of borrowed the general idea and put my own spin on both pieces. I had TPSA make the lamp shade for me from one of our porcupines. The rest is a lamp kit at Home Depot, a drill, a radial saw, and some time and patience.... The wine rack is made from oak barrel staves that I bought from a winery in California on EBay, and the tusks that we have been collecting over the last few safaris.

Really like all the different ideas and ways of display you chose, has me thinking about some of my next mounts

Thanks very much.... We don't have the house or the space for the taxidermy diorama of my dreams, (yet!)..... But, I found that you can get creative with certain poses, and incorporating some habitat into the wall displays. I have bought pieces of artificial habitat from McKenzie taxidermy supply, that is amazingly realistic. I have also used silk artificial foliage and some natural wood that I have collected from beach drift. Luckily, Florida is a great place for that.

I have over 50 pieces of taxidermy with 28 shoulder or full mounts in a 1,500 sq.ft. house! Kids in the neighborhood are always coming over with their friends asking if they can tour the house. My wife keeps nagging that we need a bigger house, but not for the usual "wife reasons". She wants room for more taxidermy...;)

Very nice on 2 counts here! Especially the bigger house reason (y)

Impressive! I like everything, but the wine rack and lamp are especially unique. I think the wife would love one of those up in our kitchen or dining room.

very impressive.
