Crazy!!! Doesn't the person need to die to make it to the Darwin award?

That would be the post humously awarded Darwin Award category.

I guess this is the Near Miss category.

I returned from working overseas about 3-4 years ago and my adult son introduced me to Tannerite.
It is a binary explosive and I have no idea how it is legal for recreational use. For any of you not familiar with it, you can buy it in most gun shops just like buying a box of .22s.

Its either Australia or Louisianna.... Georgia well its still the south..... we sure grow some pure bred idiots down here

Wow! I guess this guy found out the hard way that explosives can hurt you?

Yea the Darwin award is supposed to be given to those who improve the genetic pool of the species by removing themselves from said population;)

Of course I suppose one could technically qualify if they simply rendered them selves, um, no longer reproductively functional:eek:

Like many questionable ideas, I'm confident that "Hold my beer and watch this" was uttered before the shooting started.

Poor fellow.

Another one who went straight from video games to an AR.

The reason it's legal is because the two components used to make the explosive are in and of themselves inert and don't become a bomb until mixed together. They are packaged as such.
As far as gubment control of it. Not a big fan of that idea. It's not the gov'ts job to prevent me from blowing myself up. It also opens a door of banning things I'm not entirely thrilled about.
While I have never used said product, I have looked at it and all of the instructions and warnings for idiots are on the packaging. That should be enough. If an idiot decides to not heed those then said subject gets what he gets to the entertainment of us all.

Gov't control? Absolutely not. As stated there are many clearly written warnings and instructions for the safe use. Actually the parts need to mix/ make are found in almost everyone' s homes.

I enjoy shooting it on occasion, and my daughter absolutely loves it. Two weeks ago we were in Texas on our annual hog hunt. She was having trouble grouping well on paper at 100 yds. As we all know a big part of shooting well is mental, so I mixed a small can of tannerite (picture two Campbell's soup cans side by side) and set out at 200 yds. I then taped a lifesaver to the middle of the can. I told her to remember that we don't shoot at things, we shoot things, so shoot that lifesaver. One shot and BOOM. After she got done grinning, I taped lifesaver on the bullseye at 100. The candy was vaporized with the next shot- problem solved.

don't really care if you blow yourself up ... less enthused that you can blow me up :)!
Scott, we finally agree!!!!! Happy days!!!!

These people are exactly the reason we US citizens get made fun of throughout the world. They are the reason we have stickers on our lawn mowers, and a f***ing picture, telling and showing us what not to do when the mower is running. ...

This guy is "was" a great stalker though, the lawn mower didn't even see it coming.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc
