The best movie ever made (IMHO) - RIP Robert Redford

Horse Whisperer was filmed on the ranch next to my folks in Montana. Dad even had a credit in the scroll for some dozer work he did for the set. Everyone said RR was a gentleman and great guy to work with and be around. Even ended up with his own named seat at the Grand Hotel and Restaurant in town.

2025 has made me feel old. Too many icons gone. I’ll add Three Days of the Condor to the list of better Redford films.
with Faye Dunaway .. that's a more interesting movie! Thank you ..

Truly brilliant actor and director. Two of my lesser known favorites are "Three Days of the Condor" with a young and beautiful Faye Dunaway and the brilliant Max von Sydow as the professional killer Joubert; and one of his most beautiful jobs of directing - "A River Runs Through It."

Who couldn't enjoy him and Newman in "Butch Cassidy" and "The Sting." And though not particularly realistic, "The Natural" is a great movie.

What's the one with Dustin Hofman, where they break up The Watergate Scandal?

A River Runs Through It is one of my favorites, and his narration at the end of the movie never fails to give me goosebumps.

Yeah I loved that movie as well...learnt latter that Finch Hatton was bald.....cant get that one out of my head:whistle:
Bald and English. My understanding is that Redford originally planned to do an accent but the director didn’t think viewers would accept Robert Redford with any voice other than his regular one!

The first time is saw the movie I assumed he was an American. Only later did I learn he was an English nobleman. :D

Right now our national tv is celebrating him with some of his most famous movies.
Definitely an icon.
Great as a Director, also - I would point out A River Runs Through It, a masterpiece to me.

Jaws was the best movie ever made, but RR had some good ones.

RIP, Mr. Redford.

(When I hunt with my friends in Wyoming, we always watch Jemimah Johnson. It's part of our "ritual")

Read "Crow Killer," if you want the real story.

"Liver-Eating" Johnson had no love for the Crows after they killed his family...

Shows what some men are capable of when pushed too far...

I will put Jaws firmly in my top 5. Robert Shaw was amazing.

Jaws is my favorite, but there are several very good ones.

And thousands of bad ones...

Started watching the excellent Netflix series last night, "Dark Winds" produced by Redford of course.

I know it's not an "iconic" RR film, but Sneakers has always been one of my favorites.

"Give him head" "Be a beacon"

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc
