I personally find loading from the strong side faster than the weak. It is the way I handle all my double shotguns, whether OU or SxS, and so the motor skills are very deeply imprinted. In my case left hand retains control of the rifle at the barrels, right hand drops naturally to the slide on my right hip (where the shell bag would be if using a SxS on a driven bird hunt), two rounds go instantly in the chambers without having to look, and rifle or shotgun is coming up ready to fire. I obviously can also easily decide between loading one or two rounds which seems to be a problem with the speed loader concept. And yes, I have read about the rounds between the fingers of the left hand which has always seemed mildly ridiculous and potentially painful to me.
