Hey Guys
I need 475 #2 Nitro express Brass for a double rifle I have purchased .. I am still trying to locate a set of reloading dies for the 475 #2 eley cartridge as well But can fireform if I have brass and use the brass to have a set made. Any help would be much appreciated.
Best regards
Chuck

I’m not saying you should break the law, but just giving you an anecdote. If you personally import from Australia from say Northern Shooters supply, they have a very good batting average of getting Bertram brass through customs. You’d probably get about 100 pieces of new brass to your door for about $650.

I have no affiliation with US customs, Australian dealers, or Bertram Brass. I’m just pointing out a pretty good rumor with a pretty good track record.

Alternatively, I’ll sell them to you for 4x that price if you give me a month or two. :)

I have also heard that Desert Tech is importing Bertram Brass now. You could reach out to them.

For the dies I would check with CH4D - They are often 12-18months out on building a set of dies; however sometimes you can get lucky and they'll have a set on the shelf.

Thanks for the response
They said at least 36 mos. and want 5 fired out of each barrel and 2 dummy loads for overall with no return on the brass. If I had 10 fired I could wait on the die set. Trim die to length if needed on the fire formed, load and go.

@mrgreene ..... It would appear that the same company that @rookhawk suggested for brass also has 1 set of dies in stock!

Dies and Shellholders are likely in stock at CH4D and for about $300. The ones in Australia are CH4D but you're paying a lot of markup needlessly rather than getting them from the manufacturer in Ohio.

He said in previous post that CH4D quoted him 3 years....... and lots of brass to get them

OP, did you call CH4D, or another die maker? I just got a set of 450#2 dies and shell holder from them a week ago. They just came in stock. They definitely have the shell holder. (Same one) They may have them in production if they don’t have stock.

I have a 475 shellholder for the Eley. I called C4HD before I set the thread in motion and they are a bare minimum 24-36 mos to produce this die set with 10 fired brass and 2 dummy loads needed with no return of provided brass. I have seen the Northern Supply ad and when you click to order its out of stock. I truly appreciate all the help as this is the most helpful group I have leaned upon. BTW -- Be careful who you reach out to on replies as I have had 2 PM's from possible scammers claiming to have the the dies and brass but want alternative payment methods that you cant track and when you ask about specifics...crickets.

I have a possible option with Lee. They can do a set in roughly 16 weeks and I will nee to use an adapter with the RCBS press for the larger size. I am leaning towards this option and using some Kynoch to send from the rifle.

I have seen that ad. When you click to purchase they are out of stock.

I want to give credit where credit is due. I can't thank everyone that sent links for dies and brass enough for the Roger Mowbray recommendation ( Northern Shooter Supply, Australia ) Not only did Roger call to discuss the die sets , He caught an overpayment that would have gone un-noticed. It never ceases to amaze me the quality people involved in the collectible/hunting fraternity. I appreciate all the help and if you need something that is rare or special you will do no better than to reach out to Roger. A real class act. Just FYI. Australia to Alabama in 5 days travel shipped. Thank you all and Roger. A big bore double speaks again.

All of AH is happy to help. I wish we had more Ozzy sponsors. They have a true passion for large bores and their small businesses do a great job making bullets, dies, and brass to keep our rifles operational. I had nothing but great experiences buying from Northern Shooter Supply as well.

As an aside, I appreciate AH and I understand that we need sponsors to keep this site going. The problem is many small businesses cannot afford to be site sponsors. I hope the owners of AH consider the idea of commission-based referral links so all the great mom-and-pop sellers can keep going on and AH can get a fair piece of every transaction.

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
