When is Winchester planning on doing another run of safari rifles?

I received the 375 I ordered from Midway today. Fit and finish looks good. A little front heavy but have a feeling once I scope it, balance will be about right.
I will be picking up mine today or Monday. I’m glad you are happy with yours. I snagged mine from Midway as well.

How is a New Haven Winchester any different than FN owned Winchester??? Winchester quit being Winchester in 1931 when Olin bought them then made the rifles until they sold New Haven to the employees (forming USRAC) w/ a license from Olin. Herstal (FN Herstal, etc.) bought the plant and was the one making Winchesters (under the USRAC label) from about 1990 to when they closed in 2006. So, you might own/have owned some of those 'ugly' FN made ones. :D

I have to say some of the stuff that came out of New Haven wasn't a 'Winchester' either. They produced their fair share of crap guns.
Once again any and I mean any Winchester not made in the Great United States is not a Winchester……………..

Please don't tell that to my Winchester Model 1895 in .405 Winchester (made by Miroku in Japan). You'd probably hurt its feelings. :D

Cheers! Bob F. :)

I love my Miroku 1895 in 405! But we both know it’s not a Winchester:cool: Never the less a great rifle!!!

I’m too tired to reply in a meaningful way but I will later today! As to your post for now I’ll just say it’s lacking at best and I’ll leave it at that for now! More to follow

Checked with my dealer and the one I ordered a little over a month ago isn't due to ship until October.

The Monte Carlo stock on one of the links posted is concerning as I do not want that. If Midway gets some more in-stock without it, I may buy from them and cancel other order.

ETA: Looking at that listing, that rifle is from 1995. Whew.

Check on Winchester website.
The M70 ALASKAN has the Monte Carlo stock, 25” barrel and no barrel mounted sling swivel, weighs less than the SAFARI EXPRESS, with a straight comb stock and heavy barrel.

I see. The Safari Express on GB is in a similar configuration, but is a 1995 model. I thought for a moment it was new production and Winchester had made a change to the SF version.

That model was known as the Super Express (push feed) and Classic Super Express (Pre 64 style action)! I have a Classic Super Express in 416 remington magnum and I personally think it's a better handling rifle then the current Safari Express, I have one of those also!

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc
