Welcome to AH.
How long have you been operating in Benin?
Any recent trophy pictures?

So what is the daily rate?

So what is the daily rate?

See the first post enysse. Very reasonable hunt costs, but a bit close to Ebola central.

I'm thinking hunts in that area are going to be highly available this year;)

If one could get all the critters on that list in the 12 days, it would be hard too come anywhere near those prices. Even just a couple of the big ones.

But yea, who's going to go there? I would assume you could keep your distance and be pretty safe on the hunt, but I hate to think of being anywhere crowded with people in that region. Hell you might fly in and find yourself forbidden from returning, or even have no flights back.

I know my wife would not go, not sure if she would let me go alone,,,, but I am pretty sure she would be vigilant of keeping the life insurance paid up!

Well you are correct, the USA might shut down the border for reentry from that part of Africa.

……………., but a bit close to Ebola central.

Sadly buddy, you are living close to Ebola country.
Only a 14 hour drive from your place.
Thankfully it requires direct contact to spread.

True that and I was just in Dallas a week ago. But, not sure yet that it's going to be like west Africa, because you know, our government knows what it's doing........ :( :notworthy:

You'll be just fine. I'm more afraid of the flu than Ebola.

I'm not afraid of Ebola, only our government and the people elected to these positions of power with no brains between their ears.

great deal. crazy since I have been looking a lot into Benin and Burkina Faso! unfortunately, I've got next year booked up.

Problem is we don't really know that for sure. I have seen several Docs now say that even being sneezed on from 3 feet may be enough to catch it and like always, these viruses can mutate and before you know it, its an airborne disease. I doubt that this administration will be bold enough to stop flights with passengers from West Africa for the foreseeable future. After all, they wont close our southern border, and we have all manner of things coming across down there daily!

I'm not afraid of Ebola either, but I sure as hell would not travel in West Africa right now either!

Glad to have you on AH.

Looking forward to seeing photos of trophies and hearing more about your operation.

All the best.

What is the primary language in the area? French?
Any pictures of the area and the animals you have taken lately in the last 5 years

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
