What if Xi takes the technology and factories then uses it to produce iphones/knockoffs they sell around the world; apple wouldn't be able to set up production anywhere else before China had already cornered the market?..... and the factory workers could not only keep their jobs but help fight the "capitalist enemies of China that have oppressed them".Apple doesn't have any assets per se in China. As you stated, Foxxonn has built the factories there to make iPhones. Apple pays Foxxonn to manufacture the iPhones. Raw materials are either bought directly by Apple and shipped to Foxxonn or they buy it for Apple (not sure which).
If Xi were to nationalize the Foxxonn plant then all of those Chinese workers would be out of a job. But Apple would not be wiped off the map.
Tanks, I know you are smart enough to know this is the truth of your conversation with him, although his response would be much more snarky...

That is coming from the group doing the cutting. It has already been proven wrong multiple times. Give a source without bias. The DOGE website explains all of it. Not hard to understand how it’s done.
Here’s a fun fact page about doge and the falsehoods presented on FB. Kind of comicalThat is coming from the group doing the cutting. It has already been proven wrong multiple times. Give a source without bias.
Your right it is interesting. Since they are sighting sources what makes them wrong? Here’s a fun fact page about doge and the falsehoods presented on FB. Kind of comical

I understand they may not be the real McCoy but the Chinese are already copying iPhones.iPhones are made in China. But the iOS Operating system is separate. The phone is junk without Apple‘s operating system. China does not have access to that.
The Chinese owned smart phones are android
So speaks the new forum troll. probably the same troll that disappeared last week only to reappear with a different name.Don't worry, this can happen if you only have a superficial understanding of things and don't know the facts.
Can’t be, msm says world is collapsing even as we speak…..Dozens of countries already coming to the tariff negotiating table.
I’m not sure if your numbers are out of whack, but I pay 147 a monthfor mine in AB. I’m not sure how much data we have, but my wife teaches online classes daily and we haven’t had an issue. I live half way down a coulee and my reception without it sounds about the same as yours.Tried it on the boat the data/cost ratio isn’t worth it. Around 300 dollars Canadian monthly for 50gigs of data. I’d probably make connectivity gains if I bothered to buy an actual computer as well but for me the expenditure isn’t justified I only routinely visit a handful of websites and until recently I’ve only ever bothered to post on one. Plus the annoyance of poor connectivity helps to limit my digital footprint. It’s been my experience the average person is far to invested in their online world while being simultaneously disengaged from the real one.

I'm sure there will be some stubborn holdouts, looking to play chicken with Trump. China being one of them, no doubt.Reuters reports “more than 50”…
My question is which 50?
If we’re talking Burundi, Madagascar, Uruguay, etc very little will change in the near term…
If we’re talking Japan, Brazil, France, Italy, etc we could see things turn around extremely quickly..
I know there were real concerns over the weekend expressed by Italy that their wine sales to the US are already seeing marked reduction and they want to see an agreement reached quickly for fear of what will happen to that industry and how it would impact their economy..
