"I would vote for Vlad the Impaler if he would protect the borders and abide by the Constitution of the United States."

And there's a part of the rub for me: I am not convinced a Trump second term guarantees either of those.
Did he do any of the stuff everybody bitches about in his first term? Who HAS colluded with foreign governments and persecuted their opponents with the legal system? The people who say that's what Trump will do, that's who.

You can sleep easy tonight!

You may not be convinced about Trump, but you can be guaranteed that Biden’s second term or a democrat’s first term will have no regard for our borders, America or our Constitution.

Trump says stupid stuff. He may say that he does not want your vote, but surely you are educated enough to know that he needs your vote.

We can get into a pissing contest about the candidates, but as of now most of the country is supporting Trump. More than likely he will be the nominee. That’s just the facts. You don’t have to like the facts but they are what they are.

At the end of the day Trump will need your vote and everyone else’s vote. America needs your vote. You know that.

I call bullshit. I may know he needs my vote - and he most assuredly does, and everyone like me. But if he's willing to stand on a stage in front of a crowd and tell me he doesn't need it? No problem. I was leaning that way anyway. Happy to oblige. Thing is, I may know he needs my vote. I truly believe that he believes he does not. I will not indulge a delusional narcissist.

I seen this a while back on here.

Truth is fact. We don’t get to change, determine or manipulate truth whether we believe it or not. We may have different perspectives on truth because of our upbringing and or environment, but our perspectives are just that. Perspectives.

Truth or fact is determined and set by Mother Nature and God. Not us.

Call bullshit all you want, but your standing in it if you have the illusion that this country will be better off with four more years of the same donkey shit.

Your arrogance is no better than Trump’s.

From my observation post, I think you have it exactly backwards.

This self-indulgent nearly eighty-year-old adolescent named Trump is interviewing for my vote. I am not begging for the privilege of voting for him. I am looking to hire someone as president to represent my interests. He may indeed be the nominee of the republican party, and many of his acolytes may not care that he takes their vote for granted. But he can't take mine for granted, and he is not only doing nothing to win it, he has actually rejected it.

You are correct, I am indeed educated enough to know he needs my vote and a lot of traditional republicans just like me. Regrettably, he is either so uneducated or so stupid or so caught up in his own narcissism that he and his blind followers have forgotten who is doing the asking and who makes the hiring decision.

I could be totally wrong, but I don't think this deal with the devil it is likely not to work out well for my party or the country.

And in what universe do you believe "most of the country is supporting Trump?" I'm not, and I am hardly alone.

I agree with just about everything. It is sad that Trump has alienating potential voters. Trump is not perfect by no means.

Unfortunately we are down to picking the lesser of the two evils.

I my opinion we need to unite as republicans, conservatives and Americans and all vote for the nominee. And yes I will vote for Haley if she is the nominee.

I stand by what I said. America needs our votes!

So polish your pearls, enjoy your purity, and support the destruction of all we hold dear. You're giving me the government YOU deserve.

Also I never said that Trump deserves your vote. He needs your vote and as I said earlier America needs your vote too.

Sometimes as men we have to do things not because we want to or like to but because we have to. We are in dire need of change in this country not to mention on the verge of WW3. This may be one of our last opportunities to get a republican in the White House.

Bret Weinstein is kind of an odd character, but he went down to the Darien Gap and did a little observing, not a bad listen.

"Sometimes as men we have to do things not because we want to or like to but because we have to."

Someone communicate that sentiment to Mr. Trump; perhaps he'll reconsider his rhetoric when weighed against the value of genuinely being a bit more magnanimous to all, particularly those who could help unify his own party. I do not plan to hold my breath.

Four more years of a stupid liberal government would probably destroy the USA, and maybe the world as we know it. Now is the time to box smart and strategically, somehow get Haley over the line. It is your best chance.

Exactly. Also, we are in this pickle because Trump told Georgia voters to stay home during the 2021 runoff election. With GOP in control of the Senate things would have been much different.

The only thing Trump cares about is himself. He will also sabotage the GOP and himself in his petty personal vendettas. He is still harping about McCain years after McCain's death and not endearing himself or the GOP to AZ voters.

One more opinion regarding the war in Ukraine:

I have become extremely suspicious of those who rely heavily on “groupthink” for opinion support. Heavy reliance on such as ISW and Wilson indicates old habits/techniques likely first learned in junior high speech class to awe an audience. Extensive use of easily manipulated third party video also comes to mind along with using any other “packaged” info for effect and convenience. The concept of the “mutual admiration society” may also fit. Soon enough such dependence will carry an almost certain stigma and risk of AI manipulation... if not already. Those heavily involved in groupthink are the most vulnerable by definition.
Caveat emptor :)

Is it only one kind of groupthink that's susceptible to this, or is it universal to all flavors of groupthink? As far as I am aware, AI manipulation holds no ideological or party lines.

I am sorry, but a major problem in this country is that far too many "men," have no problem casting away their principles at the altar of expediency. I have never been such a person, and at my age, I have no intention of starting.

Are nobody worried by the fact that the American candidates are all really old?
My father is 84, and I know what he enjoys to do in the afternoon, take a nap!
None of our octogenarian African leader are particularly lively...

Thanks again for your support on the Rhodesian Shotgun thread. From the amount of "LIKES" it received, it appears there was only ONE person who objected. Hes also the same one who continually insisted on interjecting his posts that werent relevant to the thread.
