Apart from what seems like high prices, I have no issue with this. Like the guy says, if people want to save elephants, they should pay for it. How many NGOs raise money on the backs of elephants, so to speak, and none of that money ever ends up in Africa?

It seems like Zim needs to thin the herd. 500, is not a big dent in population control.

I have heard nothing about these extra 500 elephant permits being issued?
What I do know is the fact that most hunting quota's were drastically cut for 2021.

We definitely have an excess of elephant in most parts of Zimbabwe. At this time a French (anti hunting) has "approved" plans to move 200 elephant from the Save Valley Conservancy to Chizarira National Park. Chizarira National Park borders our hunting concession.

How long will these elephant stay in the park? My guess is not long. Within a year they will be down in the communal area raiding crops and creating havoc. Since there will be no quota for these elephant. They will end up being shot as PAC by the local council. What long term benefits, none!

I just checked with a person in parks that I trust. He is not aware of this program. He believes the article came from "the enemy"! We are hoping to receive two more elephant on quota tomorrow. These two elephant hunts will take place at just over cost!
