I am really liking these Zebra 3-D Wall Pedestals. I am seeing lot of taxidermists in SA that do them, but they are not appearing on their price lists. Anybody been over there recently know how much these typically go for? Thanx in advance.

Good Day, they certainly are a great mount. These are normally priced as a wall pedestal mount price and the secondary price for the shield. $990 + $850 for the shield totalling $1750.

If you follow the link to our website you can enter your details and all our pricing is available to you including prices like the above.

That is stunning! A real attention grabber!

Mine was the first done by Relive Africa in Port Elizabeth, RSA. If I remember correctly it was $950 for the mount and two or three hundred dollars for the wood. That is an amazing piece of wood and worth every penny. It is very heavy and takes two strong men to hang it.

The other interesting thing about this particular mount is that the zebra was skinned for a flat skin before I thought of doing this type mount. Paul said he could do it and if I allowed him artistic discretion and I think it turned out fantastic :)

I am sure it added to shipping cost considerably as it is heavy. Just something else to think about;)

I had mine done by Trophex taxidermy in Lephalale in the second half of 2021. It was initially skinned for a flat skin but they did a terrific job putting it back together. The shield and taxidermy together cost $607.22 and was the best money I spent on taxidermy. It is VERY heavy and I was concerned that it only used one hanging bolt, but it has held fast for the past 1.5 years.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
