Where are all the American double rifle makers

The Hoenig Rotary is very interesting and unique.

Now that is the slickest rifle I have ever seen. If, and a mighty big if, I should ever desire a double and could find one, that would be it. Absolutely beautiful, the proportions, scope mount, rotary action, caliber, everything about it.

I agree Newboomer, that double is an engineering masterpiece.
Does anyone on AH have one?

Only thing that gave me concern was the way the saftey stood up. Looks like it would be fairly easy to bump it over into the fire position accidently, given the way it sticks up in the air like that compared to a tang safety or crossbolt in the trigger gaurd.

But maybe not.

Other than that...the thing is amazing engineering for sure.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
