What Watch do you wear when you hunt?

@0002S - I really enjoy the new AT's with the 6 o'clock date window. Of course the lacquered dial that comes with the Jubilee bracelet instead of the horizontal lines on the normal 3-link. The thing that always turned me off was the polished center link on the bracelets, never did it for me. I tried them on in the store and it wasn't me, so I was on the hunt.

I didn't have to go far, seeing as my wife has an AT with the brushed 3-link bracelet from 2013. I ended up on Chrono24 pouring over watches that fit what I wanted. Below is the one I landed on and it should be here in a week or so.

2014 Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Golf Edition 41.5 mm with the calibre 8500 co-axial movement on a three-link brushed bracelet and butterfly clasp.

The new Black Lacquer is a love/hate watch. There isn’t an in between. The polish is why I bought it. I wanted a GADA watch that leaned towards the dressier side of teh equation. The AT with the railroad track outer and shark’s teeth indices is a classic field look. The AT is an amazing watch for a one watch collection (if you can have a collection of one…lol)

When I retired I took off my watch and placed it into a drawer.

I do however wear a cheap Timex Expedition when hunting and only then because of having to meet up with others at a certain time. If I am hunting by myself I very seldom even put it on.
While I was working I wore a cheap Casio watch.

At the end of this month I will have been retired 18 years.

Since then my watch has been sitting, basically untouched, on my "catch all" kitchen counter.

The time on it now reads 2 minutes fast than the time on my cell phone. I don't know if my watch gained the 2 min over the 18 years or if I just set it 2 min fast back then.

Being retired and with the time feature on my cell phone, computers, and car, I don't see any reason to wear a watch.

I think it depends on one’s lifestyle. I use an Apple Watch Ultra to track my sleep, track workouts and heartbeat to stay in zone 2 when rowing. I use it on walks as well. When dressed up and going out I switch to a Breitling, Rolex etc. that goes with what I am wearing.

It’s well known the Russian leader Putin is a watch collector. Any guesses what he will where to meet Trump today.

I’ll guess one of his Patek

Yes I know he’s a bad guy.

Even bad guys have to be on time. ;)

He wore a Blancpain for the Tucker Carlson interview.

I'm guessing he will step up his game to the Patek Perpetual Calander or the Calatrava. I'm guessing the Perpetual.

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
