What did you reload today?

375 H&H till I had a case head separation and now I have a headless case stuck in my resizing die, Redding said they would take it out with their lathe for $20. I tried to remove it but no luck.
You should be able to give it a good soak in penetrating oil and slightly thread a 1/2” tap into the case and tap it out from the other end. Maybe try that.

It would involve sacrificing a case but you could remove the front half of a case, keeping the head and sufficient portion ahead of the head to make good contact with the stuck case. put the die with the headless case into the press. Put the case head in the shell holder on the ram. Press the head portion into the die, making it tight inside of the headless case. you may be able to pull the two out of the die. I the head comes out without the headless case you may want to put some adhesive on the portion of the head case so it sticks to the interior of the headless case. Being careful that no adhesive contacts the die. Adhesive sets-up, then pull combination out

I loaded up some powder puff wadcutters for my S&W 686-6 for teaching purposes. Barely any recoil. 148 grain Acme double end wadcutters and 2.6 grains of Winchester 244, which I like because it meters well. Simple and pleasant load.

I also disassembled a couple of boxes of 9mm that got soaked in a flood. Does anyone have any tricks for using a collet puller without leaving a circular dent? I’ve messed around and can’t manage it. I ended up just using an inertial puller but that takes more time and I don’t like slamming that thing against my bench. I was doing the mental math about the economics of this exercise, and it makes no sense to spend over an hour in disassembly, die set up, and resssembly to rescue maybe $40 of ammunition. But it’s still fun.

Does anyone still reload 9mm? I don’t see any point, either economic or performance. I do reload for my revolvers because the cost savings is greater, and there’s a lot more room for experimentation. One of my favorites is light .44 special loads. Much nicer than full house magnums. And the cost savings is significant.

Years ago I had a Browning Hi-Power and reloaded it, although I preferred the Remington 115gr HP for any serious use. Recently my son got a S&W Shield and I load for it. With the exception of exorbitant price of primers by casting lead and reusing brass, loading is really cheap.

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts
