What Blaser R8 calibers have you personally shot?

22 LR

6.5 CM
300 WM
458 WM
458 Lott
Also a J. Sip and Sons 45 cal muzzle loader. Interesting.

My next barrel will probably be a .17 HMR. Or something bigger than a .375 if it is made to fit in my standard width stocks.

I’ve always wanted the 7 RM but don’t know what gap it fills

6.5 CM

I wish I had bought The .300 Win sooner in life. Most other calibers would be negated.

.257 Weatherby
6.5x55
.300 Win Mag
.375 H&H
.404 Jeffery (Custom)

Could pretty much hunt the planet and anything on it with the .257, .300, and .375.

Agreed with Red Leg's comments. My barrels are...22LR, 257 Wby, 300 Win mag, 375 H&H. I've thought about adding a 6.5 PRC since I use that a lot and a larger caliber like 416 Rem or 458 Lott as I use those also.

6.5x55

There are a number of people who don’t have a .22! That is the caliber we shoot in the yard at the house. It is the most used and has had many people use it. It turns into a fun shooting competition regularly.

Looks like the .300 WM and the .375H&H are most common. I bet that will continue as this thread fills up.

.223
9.3x62
.375h&h

I haven't considered a .22 because the .223 handles all the practice at ranges similar to what I shoot with the .375.

I've thought about adding a 6.5PRC and .280ai but I already have those chamberings in nice light mountain rifles so I probably won't. My R8 Ultimate is not a light configuration and I don't really imagine carrying it on long days.

If anything, I'll add something bigger than .375 but I really need a good excuse to do so.

.270
.300 Wby
9.3x62
Hopefully future purchases:
.22 LR
.257 Wby
..30/06
.375 H&H (rechambered to .375 Wby)
Possibly a .280 Rem, just because I love the round.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,
