Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 Weatherguard 270 winchester. Unfired with box Excellent condition. Rifle had a scope and rings mounted but never fired. Selling rifle only $600
Yes I am a fan of the vanguard the synthetic stock and finish on these weatherguards makes for a nice all weather rifle. I did remove the scope rings bases from the rifle Sunday so rifle is ready to go back in its factory box and to its new home.
vanguard. ehh. Market it as a great 1st hunting rifle or one for ladies/youth (esp. out West) and you may get some bites! you could walk into a NY shop and sell it pretty close to that on the spot. I got one for my kid a few years back (.257; $450.) When he wanted to trade up to a better quality 300 WM, we sold it to a newby who took his first deer with it. it wouldn't be the first choice of hunters on AH IMO. Also much extraneous BS going on in the economy now (my g/f spends a vanguard a month now on gas to commute, et. al.!)
thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
hey bob , new on here. i specifically joined to enquire about a 444 you built on a Enfield 4-1 you built . who did the barrel and what was the twist and profile specs ? look foward to your reply . cheers
