Looking for the Sako 85 specifically in 416 Rigby. I see these pop up from time to time but recently they seem like unicorns.

Located in Canada, I have an importer that I will be using if the rifle is based in the US.

It is for sale right now. Log in and scroll down and click on buy now.

JD offers a layaway option, but that one is for sale.

He also has three more for sale on gunbroker with higher grade wood at a much higher price.

I emailed the seller and was told by presumedly the owner that it's currently being paid off by a buyer through layaway (not sure why it's still listed on the website).

I was eyeing the others as well,
Above my budget unfortunately.

They're still asking that much for a Brown Bear .. I'll be.

Ellwood Epps is showing one .416 Rigby and two .450 Rigby's in stock.

This .450 Rigby looks like a nice deal:

$4800 is the cheap one, they have two others listed for $14,000.
Yes sir, indeed. Those being the "Premium XL's", they've been up for some time.
I do understand these Brown Bears have doubled, in some cases.

It's nice to know they still have value though, and things are still selling.

Yeah like everything else in recent years the prices have continued to climb.

Do you have any experience with the Sako XLs? If I'm unable to track one down for the right price I'll likely go for a 416 CZ.

The Sako just seems like a more premium rifle to me between the two. I own a 550 in 375.

Those are not the true prices for the rifles. Those are the prices for the rifles and the “free” safari.

I would be interested in the ruger if the other guy is not.
