I just saw Tom's post about a hunt for Sable and other animals in Zambia in hunts offered. Sable is currently near the top of my most wanted list. The price listed seems good especially considering the other animals. It is really at the top of my budget.... Anyone else seen a good sable hunt for less? I'd still want to shoot a couple of other animals. Looking at the 7-9 days time frame. May be able to get a friend to go if multiple people helps bring the cost down. Just want to see if anyone has any other specials out there before I look further at Tom's offer. Thanks for any help. Bruce

Zambia has closed all hunting. Our concession in the Kafue is no more for an undisclosed time.
We do have Sable in South Africa along with a lot of other species if you are interested.
Send me a PM and I can contact you.

Zambia is only closed on government land Fritz. Still open on private properties.

You are correct Tom. I am so disappointed in the whole fiasco that is costing us a fortune that I made a silly mistake. Apology from my side.

Hi Bruce

The Outfit that I hunt with is offering a Trophy Sable with a trophy fee of $8500 are you wanting to put a package together or just the Sable and add trophies while you hunt? Is this going to be a rifle hunt or a bow hunt? Thanks Bob

This is one of the Sable taken last year. I counted over 30 or 40 while I was there in June.

No problem Fritz! I will eventually get over and do a bowhunt with you sometime. Its about time you posted another real life crazy hunting story!

Sorry for the time that I was absent. I was in Central Africa for a while and only came back a few weeks ago. Things are hectic with Zambia closing and moving clients over to our Mozambique concession. I shall put some word on paper again one of these days.
Cheers

I would jump all over Tom's deal. Those Zambia ranches produce monster sable. I went on a $14k package deal for sable, defasau waterbuck, livingstone eland, bone zebra, and impala. I ended up shooting all those animals and having a great time. My sable measured out at 48" and we saw several over 44". Trust me, those Zambia game farms are real hunts like here in the us and the sable in those areas are absolutely massive. Well worth the price. The quotes I got for bulls over 46" were well north of $30k because most can make more money by selling them within Zambia as breeding bulls. If things go my way this year and time allows I will definitely be taking a few of those packages.

Hey Bruce heres another animal for you to look at. Bob

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
