Do you have a lapping kit? I have a pair that I lapped, but not enough to even them out 100%. They need to be lapped the rest of the way before mounting the scope. (I went to Warne Maxima instead.) You can have them, no charge.

it appears they are different heights, one is a 4 and one is a 5 (on the rings)

Correct. For an M77 you'll notice barrel side is much higher then the bolt side. So, when looking up rings you'll need I "high - 5" in the rear and a "med - 4" in the front for a medium set.

Ruger rings are different heights, the ring is higher than the bridge so the ring for the bridge is a little bigger.
