For sale is my beautiful Steyr CL ii in 9.3x62mm. Have had it for a few years now and have never shot a bullet with it so it’s time to move her to someone else. Has a very unique twisted barrel. Will come with Leapold QD bases and rings. Scope not included.

Let me know if you need any other pictures and feel free to ask questions.
Price is $2700.

Has a very unique twisted barrel.

The 'twist' is from the barrel making process called hammer forged.

Hammer forging is an equipment intensive but efficient method for making rifled gun barrels. Hammer-forged rifling starts with a reusable mandrel that carries the reverse image the entire length of the bore and uses it to produce the desired rifling profile.

I have a halfstock semi-weight in the same rifle (semi heavy barrel, threaded and round knob).
Cloverleafs PPU.
Running a Rugged Alaskan on her.
Fantastic rifles.
I currently have an SX on order as well.

Last year, I called the Steyr distributor for the USA & asked the guy if it would be possible to order a left-handed 9.3x62 CLII for me. He said he could so I thanked him & told him I would ponder it a bit longer. Less than 24 hours later, I stumbled on a great deal on a left-handed 30-06 that appeared to never have been fired with a brand new Swarovski scope. Not the exact chambering I really wanted but close enough for my needs so I decided to make a compromise. It is a great rifle!

I have the similar Steyr SM 12 in 9.3x62.

It shoots everything tried into less than moa.

It also will put bullet weights from to 185-286 grains in the same one inch cluster at 100 yards.

I have Steyrs in 270, 7mm-08, 280, 308, 30-06, and 9.3x62. They are the most accurate and dependable factory made hunting rifles in the world in my experience.

It’s surprising they are not more popular. That butter knife bolt is the Cats Pajamas

I recently handled a steyr in .300 WM. So smooth

I hadn't been out to the Steyr website since I was shopping for one a year ago. Just out of curiosity I surfed over there to sigh wistfully at the SM12 (I've been using some questionable logic to justify acquiring one). It appears that the 9.3x62 chambering has been dropped from both the SM12 & the CLII. So if you have any desire to own one, this rifle that the OP is selling might be the one you want to grab. It's possible they won't be making any more unless they take custom requests.

Steyr has not dropped the caliber.
I just have to special order them. I just sold one yesterday. I have an SX clii on order currently.
The OPs rifle is a difficult model to convince them to import. Trying to get irons has been a chore.
I don't want to step on this ad. That's a fantastic piece of wood comparably.

If AI didn't already have two custom 9.3x62's I would have already bought this. handled couple steyr's over the years and they are a solid well made gun. And as mentioned very smooth and accurate.

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
