Want To Sell Steyr 9.3x62mm

I handled on last week. You would have to spend a lot of money on a custom rifle for that fit and finish and smooth action.

I shoot 250 grain barnes tsx at 2700 fps in mine.

Less than 1 inch at 100 yards. Plan on shooting an Eland and a Sable with this load.

Considering it for Cape Buffalo on a one gun safari.

Make sure it's legal. many places require .375 caliber or larger. That said, a 250 TSX should be enough for buffalo but is a little on the light side. I took a 1 shot kill on a buffalo with a 270 .375 but was a brass bullet. I'm sure as long as the shot is good you'll have no issues.

I assume this rifle is a push feed, correct?

Correct.
Super smooth action. The magazine has two depth insertion stages. 1st stage the bolt rides above the magazine without stripping a cartridge when you close the bolt. It allows you to drop one round in the action and load it.
Push it all the way in (2nd stage) and it loads from the magazine as any bolt action.
With the Safety is on you can push the bolt down and seats flat on the stock. Takes the Safety off and the bolt raises up at the normal angle to be grabbed and operated.
It’s really a smart design.

I have two 9.3x62s. A CZ550 Classic and a Steyr.

The Steyr is more accurate, puts every bullet weight into the same point of impact and has really good fiber optic iron sights.

It is super smooth, reliable and fast to operate.

I have the same Steyr series rifle in a lot of different cartridges.

I have no qualms about using it for Buffalo.

And yes, it is legal where I’m going, I already checked.

I love mine as well. I know they made a .458 win mag at one point, but I wish they’d made one in .458 Lott.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.
