The red pad suggests an early MKII production (early 90"s), and I don't think Ruger ever made a 77 with less than 24 inches

Best caliber for all north American game .I have a ton of ruger 77s in 338 win mag all of them are super accurate .Ruger puts just the right weight barrel to make the 338 win mag not kick bad .I am putting together a stainless Ruger African that will be awesome .

Sorry for the delayed reply. Had a couple of sick kids to deal with all weekend. It’s a 2016 model, 24” barrel. I’ll have to look for the rings(if I even still have them).
