vintage shotguns

I am looking for a site thats has info on vintage SXS shotguns, parker, fox, winchester etc. I just went over and cleaned a few of my fathers old doubles, In doing so I realized the old guns just handle differnet. The pointing , feel and balance, just something newer shot guns dont have. At least in my opinion.

Years ago at an estate auction for the family of a US military officer who served in Japan after the end of WWII, I acquired both a nice Springfield 03-A1 rifle and a lovely Miroku SxS 12ga shotgun. Double triggers, great balance. I added a thick butt pad to adjust the length of pull to my larger frame and for years it was my upland game gun for grouse, quail, doves and pheasant. I know that Miroku make(s) many of the Browning premium shotguns after Browning stopped their Belgian production. But, I have never seen another SxS from Miroku like this one and it is very old, I have never been able to find in info about these either. I do not have any pics of it at the moment but it looks like a fine English SxS

Vintage Guns in the U.K. is run by Diggory Haddoke. There is the Vintage Gun Journal in amongst all of it. There’s some interesting reading. It’s mainly about English shotguns.
