Vancouver bulls in Hawaii

Yea banteng are awesome. Those who have hunted a lot of Australia tell me it's a superior experience to water buff...but I'm interested in both.

I've looked into it several times, but never it still hasn't risen to the top of the list. I was planning on feral cattle here in Alaska before covid killed that for good.

Where are there feral cattle in Alaska? Something down on the Kenai? I never heard of that while living there for about 10 years. I would think the weather would kill them unless they had access to ranch feed somewhere.

I forget the island but it was out of Sand Point, native corp land. The transporter is out of business post covid.

Also on Chirikof Island off Kodiak but I don't think sport hunting is an option.

I am always interested in hunting any bovine anywhere. I had planned on doing it with Hawaii Safaris, but it fell through, now they are no longer advertising them. I appreciate you starting this thread, I hope to make this happen sometime soon. Hawaii is usually a little easier sell to the wife.

Has anyone here hunted Vancouver bulls in Hawaii? These are basically feral cattle that have been running wild since 1790 and are similar to the scrub bulls of Australia.

If you have any experience and guide recommendations, I would like to hear from you.
I hunted near Kona in June 2019 with two different outfits. Happy to discuss with you one on one. Steve

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
