shot my first bobcat and had it proper skinned by a local trapper who sells fur. He recommended a tannery in New Hampshire but wanted to see if any other recommendatuons. I live in South Carolina but if mailing I don't really care what state it goes too.

Thanks
Dale

Not sure the two taxidermists I have used here both sent everything to PA. I sent my Africa game to Dennis at Artistry of Wildlife I would ask him who to use.

wildlife gallery in Michigan does a really good job and a lot of taxidermist use them including Artistry of Wildlife. did a bobcat for a friend of mine and it was fine.

You might want to stay in state as I know at least here in Texas if I send a bobcat out of state I have to have the CITIES tag and permit with it to be legal. I'm not saying people dont do it, but I was told that's how I had to legally do it. I can get a CITIES permit from my local wildlife office relatively easily but it's still a pain.

in SC you have to have Cities tag to turn over posession (to guy who skinned it) so i already have the cities tag. The only place i know of in south carolina i have been told by many how crappy the service is

The wildlife gallery does my tanning for my shop. They do a good job.

I'm pretty sure there is a tannery in Raleigh, NC, but could be thinking wrong

Carolina Fur Dressing is your best bet. They are in Raleigh but I am fairly certain that you will have to go through a licensed and certified taxidermist to get to them. I have two very good local taxidermist that both use them exclusively.

i'll be calling around shortly. Carolina fur does appear to require a taxidermist to be involved which I imagine any local taxi would want a broker fee or something similar. I have one local guy I've used I will give a call and see what he says about them.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
