Nice bases. Hard to tell the length from the front photo. Looks like a mature ram.

Trophy impala

Thanks for the comments guys.
Here is another pic of him.See the huge spread. It will be interesting to measure him when taken.

ADV, he's a nice ram that is for sure but I doubt he will go 25" we need to see the horns sideways and see how nice the saddle is.
Bigger pictures will also help and where in the world is this picture taken ?

He sure is pretty impala!

Hi Frederik
Ok thanks will try get more pics.I have 3 nice rams like this.
Would be ideal for bowhunting as you can get up quite close.
I have a farm outside of ladysmith, do you ever come down this way?

i expanded your small clip and then copied it to a word document and stretched it out...to get a better view...I would say he is in the 23 to 26 inch range...i am not a expert on judging impala this is just my opinion...

That is why you men get paid the big bucks...

Yes I need to get more pics of them. I got two very nice rams in the herd, definitely worth having mounted.

Having just shot a 22" a few weeks ago I would say he is equal of that for sure. I would like to see a side shot to see how much of a seat his horns make. Good chance he will hit 25" if he has a good seat to his horns.

Looks under 24" to me. Took one about that size in Tan some years back and they look about the same.

Knew that one was coming ADV!

Hey ADV,

I don not think it will make 25" either. Maybe 23 or little longer. Will be intresting to see what he measures out and then we will see who was the closest... Like a little competition. lol You need to try and get a picture where we can see the horns from the side so the saddle is visible... If that saddle is deep we will be in trouble guys... By the way I think he is a shooter in anybody's books.

Best regards,

Jacques

Hi Jacques
I will see if I can get some more pics of him, as I know he has a deep saddle, then we can all make our final judgement!!! LOL
Regards, Andre
