Not sure if this is the appropriate forum for sharing this, but looking at the trophies members have shared reminded me of the Shaw & Hunter Trophy. In 1970 Tony Seth-Smith won the Shaw & Hunter Trophy for a magnificent lion. The skull measured 14 1/8" by 9" wide. I'm attaching a picture of Tony receiving the award at the EAPHA annual dinner dance (Yes, I was there I'm happy to say). On the left is Tony Dyer, then president of the EAPHA. Princess Sunny von Auersberg in the middle presented the trophy.

Neat piece of history.

Where was the dinner held? (Norfolk, New Stanley, other.)

Do you have any more photos of the event. Including photos of yourself?!

That particular dinner dance was held at the casino that was opened that year. It had big ball room facilities so they broke tradition that time and held the event there. I do have a couple more photos. Will dig them out and convert so I can post them. Probably by Monday. Glad the history is appreciated on this site!

Very much appreciated.

Interesting to see! Thanks for sharing.

interesting picture of the modern " Happy Valley Set".
Look at the extraordinary, beautiful woman-Sunny von Auersperg (later von Bülow).
The last 30 years of her life she was in coma.
A tragedy.

Interesting history Foxi. I never realized it was the same person. von Bulow was big news over here for a number of years, between the trials and appeals.

It was such a tragedy. I only met her a couple of times but she was such a nice person - so warm and friendly and well-liked and respected. Her ex husband, Prince (Alfie) von Auersperg, was in a car accident and remained in a coma for years as well - although not as long.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
