Got the skulls, capes and backskins home from my 2011 namibia trip today. Now starts another waiting time for the taxidermist to get them all done.

Congrats, pics of you holding up the Wildebeest, Gemsbok and Impala, (just a personal request) they are my favorites.

I'd leave them like they are!

Stunning Kudu!!!

Looks great, I especially like the Springbok on the right.

Congratulations on getting them home.

Kudu, my weakness. Lovely trophy.
Hooks on that Springbok....
Nice rugs..

Thanks.

Nice collection, the dollar signs flash again, (taxidermy bill).

Nice Trophies Congrats!

+1

+1 and suggest you go on another safari!

Would love to go on another safari, and maybe if all goes well, I will go in october this season. Back to Namibia again for eland, hartebeest, mountain zebra, oryx and maybe a cheetah. But will have to see how much I can juggle financially.

I am so pleased about my kudu, that was the whole reason I went on the safari to get a 60" kudu, didnï½´t quite make 60", but close enough.

Now I am looking forward to getting the stuff back from the taxidermist.

Will get the the steenbuck and duiker full mounted, the duiker was 4,75" tall so also a great trophy.

The rest will get shouldermounted. I think the Kudu will be a wall pedistal mount.

cheers

yes, I got it all done and shipped by Hunters pride i namibia.

But I have found that someone has drilled 2 holes in both my wildebeest and impala in the horn in base area on the backside. Is that a bug test?

cheers

thank you, yes it is soooo great to have it all home. It was my first safari, so the wait has been so long. 9 long month. Not easy for the eager mind

cheers

That is a wonderful springbok!

It is most likely a hole used to wire an identification tag to your horns so they do not get misplaced at the taxidermist.

I trust the trophies bring back good memories that you cherish forever...!

Or the holes might have been for the insect poison the normally use on skulls.

yes I will definitely cherish the memories forever.

cheers

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
