Train rides thru africa

Back in the day I took the Steam Train from Bulawayo to Vic Falls, it was hard case as it still had sign writing on the carriages from the segregation days, it was a working train back then but I think Tourists Steam trains still or did run until recently ?

I have always heard great things about them.
Had some family friends do the Cape to Dar Es Salam journey a few years back for his retirement. They spoke very highly about the trip.
I never have spoken with them at SCI but they have always been busy. Haven’t heard a bad thing about the service or experience.
Always thought the Cape to Vic Falls would be an epic way to start a safari.

Here’s an old film about Rovos, I have watched a few times over the years.

I haven’t ridden Rovos Rail, but all of my African friends recommend it very highly. The one I’d be most interested in trying is where they stop along the way to enjoy birdshooting.

Jeb Brooks a you tube travel content creator did a Video of the exact trip you described! The wife and I actually are thinking about doing the trip when I retire!

Not Rovos Rail, but my wife & I traveled on The Blue Train from Pretoria to Cape Town a few years back. Just one overnight & a stop in Kimberly for the Museum. Was great fun, we actually had a bath tub in the bathroom! Plus some fine dining! Selected a superb bottle or SA red wine in the evening & sadly the first bottle was corked, they took it away & opened a second without a word! Great service. Would I do it again, likely not, took a day after the trip to get over the motion of the train rocking from side to side during the journey! Been there, seen it & got the T shirt.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
