It's a barrelled action, so I will need to get a stock, but the rifle is:
-Pre 64 win M70 from 1951 (Type III -2)
-25" stainless barrel with first third being an octagon
-Chambered in 8x68s
-Blackburn bottom metal and wisner custom bolt stop
-Built by Ralf Martini
-Gold inlay on barrel for Ralf and for the calibre

All I would need to do is get the action blued, and make a stock for it.
I think it would make a great PG / Elk and moose rifle
Price is about 3k USD
Thoughts?

8x68s! It's a hammer and it can reach out. Ralf Martini does beautiful work, that rifle is going to be something when it is finished. Just a bit of embellishment is perfect.
I have Ralf's old personal Mauser 66 in 8x68s. I suspect your custom pre-64 Mod 70 was maybe what he was building to replace it?! Did Ralf tell you anything about it?
What stock would you put on it? You have been on a synthetic kick lately :)

I'd buy it and ask Ralf to finish and stock it for me. It will make a nice hunting rifle for sure.

I did talk to him about the rifle, he said it was going to be his primary hunter, but that client projects always got in the way. So I would wager it was a replacement for the Mauser 66.
As far as wood for this, nice walnut is the only way to go.
