The recent @EuroOptic thread got me thinking ... I reckon we might need a thread just dedicated to these fine rifles.

So, show us what you've got.

I'll kick things off with the 8x57.

There is a Sako Brown Bear in 500 Jeff on Gunsinternational right now. I don't know if the price is good or not.
It is high, but not terribly high.
Looks to be in pristine shape, ive seen other 85's go for 6-7k..

Nice 'bears'.

Agreed! Same with CZ...and Ruger...
ugh the old CZ's... we begged and begged when we picked them up.
the new fad is long range carbon wrapped 26" crap that sucks to carry in the field.... I miss the old stuff, but it gives me a reason to go to gun shops again and check the used racks

My hunt continues for a CZ 550 in either 416 Rigby or 404 Jeff...preferably a Safari Classics 2 or an AHR custom. No dice so far

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
