The One Piece of Gear You Didn’t Know You’d Need in Africa

OK ...so what exactly is a dude wipe?.... :E Shrug:
Missed this before…

It’s a brand of wipe… much larger than a typical baby wipe… made of biodegradable material… that is advertised/marketed to men…

At TTHA they had barrels of them individually wrapped.. the little foil wrappers with a single wipe inside are just barely bigger than a zeiss wipe… I literally grabbed about a hundred of them.. can keep a few in the pack (weigh nothing and take no space), a few in the glove box of the truck, etc…

They saved my ass (literally and figuratively lol) in a deer blind after a couple of outrageously strong cups of morning coffee last season lol…

I’m hoping they come back to TTHA again this year… I’ll grab a hundred more….

They also sell them in bulk super cheap at Costco…

Duct tape. Misc repairs

Destin. Used for diaper rash and cures chafing.

Don't be a Dude be a Viking

Most valued non hunting related item: dude wipes... not just for the obvious emergency use.. but also for simply cleaning up a bit in the field when you get particularly sweaty or dirty.. its nice to take a little 30 second break to get all of the grime and filth off of you before getting back into the bakkie after spending the previous hour inhaling red dust and getting covered in sweat while wandering through the bush..

Most valued hunting related item: a wide brimmed hat. I typically start the morning out with a thin beanie on just to keep my head warm.. but as the day goes on, I prefer protection from the sun and the mid day heat, and will swap out my beanie for my faux tilley (looks a lot like a tilley airflo adventurer.. but was just some hat I picked up at COSTCO probably 8-10 years ago thats still going strong)..
Dude Wipes! I thought I was the only one!

SD card to put in the PH .s trail cameras ..... you never know it might catch that once in a lifetime shot !

Two pairs of extra contact lenses, cleaner, case, and drops. Nothing can ruin a safari like being temporarily blind!

Benadryl Spray. We were low crawling last month and my sleeves were pushed up due to warm temps. Something i crossed over caused a nasty rash on my forearm within hours, but the irritation lasted for days. A bit of antihistamine spray would have knocked it out quickly.

All great suggestions. I will make sure to have a couple electrical outlet converters. Last time the outfitter had one that three of us had to share.

On my first trip: I missed having quality camera. For next trip, I was set up.
A thermal spotter is good to have, and also worth noting.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
