The future of Safari Hunting in Botswana

The director of the Okavango Research Institute, Botswana is Professor Joseph Mbaiwa. His research area covers tourism, rural livelihoods and conservation.

In this 3-minute video he explains how communities in Northern Botswana lost 75% of their income when safari hunting was closed in 2014. This had a devastating effect on the livelihoods of the people of the region.
