Just got back from Texas on a freezer filler whitetail hunt, I ended up taking 2 smaller management bucks to fill my freezer, I used my sako AV 375 h&h with 275 gr cutting edge safari raptor bullets as a little science experiment and noticed I had far less meat damage with the 375 vs my other "appropriate" deer rifles so I believe I may have a new deer rifle

That would be an East Tex Muygrande...

Was this a paid hunt or your farm? Well done. I've been thinking about using the 375 H&H as well. We have some big hogs here in GA, and would like to try it out. :)

Interesting about the .375 on whitetails. I have also taken a couple of deer with my .375 H&H, using the same 300 grain A-Frames that I used in Africa. (This was partly an experiment, but also because my favorite .270 was being re-bedded in its stock at the time.) Like you, I found that the .375 did much less meat damage than my "regular deer rifle." I'm not planning on turning it into my go-to deer rifle, though.

Good job! Where abouts in Texas?

I went to a friends ranch in La Salle County (south Texas) last weeked and had a good deer hunt too and filled the freezer.

We hunted a few different counties (hood, brown,Throckmorton and hill) all central

Congrats and good job. Looks like a lot of good eating.

I read an older thread that mentioned you having some 9.3x64 brass. Do you still have some? I am looking for 100 pcs, maybe 200.
