Tanzania vs Zambia vs Mozambique

It looks like daily rates in Tanzania are about 2500 a day. More or less. If you’re looking at hunting Sable and Roan with Buffalo in the Kafue region of Zambia is that going to be close to the daily rates.
I was looking at Ntengu and Kwalata safaris but am waiting on a reply. Maybe they are sold out.Good for them!

You’d really struggle to find roan or sable in Tanzania at $2500 a day. More likely $3500+.

Thanks for the info. I think Tanzania would be a Masailand Buff/Plaindgame. Probably Zambia for Sable and Roan. I know it’s not getting any cheaper. Scott CWO report on Netengu really got me fired up for Zambia. If not the Kafue maybe the Luangua valley. I have spent a lot of time in Zim. Looking to change it up.

Sable and Roan are on a premium license, more like $4k a day. The plus side is they are 4k each. The daily fee is about 2,500 for a basic license on a 7 day hunt.

I’ve hunted in all three locations and love them all. But Tanzania ranks as my favorite hunting location in all of Africa.

Amongst hunting spots in Tanzania, the Southern Sealous can never be matched if you’re looking for the truly ”Wild Africa” experience. Aside from copious amounts of game, much of the hunting areas can only be traversed if you cut a path through the foliage with a machete.

I highly recommend every aspiring Safari hunting to at least try for a hunt in the Southern Sealous someday. You’ll thank me. It’s not cheap, but worth every penny.

Ugalla Game Reserve and Fort Ikorongo also rank as my favorite Tanzanian hunting spots. But the Southern Sealous is on a completely different level.
What outfitters do you trust/use there?

I thought it would be interesting to start a thread dicussing the differences between Tanzania, Zambia and Mozambique. I would prefer to avoid the cost differences but more about the experience of the hunt, terrain, animals and trophy size. Just a fun thread on how the countries safari’s differ.
I'm no expert. I've never hunted in Tanzania but I've heard different things.

Zambia is a lot of male lions for sure. I've hunted Zambia 3 times now near the Luangwa river. Great success on all plains game except leopard. Good success on dangerous game. Hippo and trophy cape buffalo. In the north the country seems flatter. In the south very hilly terrain.

This I can almost guarantee you. If you want a trophy crocodile go to Lake Cahora Bassa in Mozambique without hesitation. I shot 2 monster crocs there in August. If you're into crocs, 14-15 footers inbox me.

I felt safe in both Mozambique and Zambia on all of my hunts.

Tanzania offers classic plains hunting with outstanding lion and buffalo. Mozambique provides thick bushveld for challenging buffalo pursuits, while Zambia blends both environments. Each country delivers a unique wilderness experience and trophy quality worth comparing.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
