Jerome knows his snakes... It was an African Rock python. The video was taken on a farm near the Swakop Poort dam. I wounder if the python was just reacting to the intrusion, or if it was actually lying in ambush trying for a meal?

I got a kick out of that. The day before yesterday I did a presentation on snakes for 52 kids ages 8 to 10 and this video would have generated some great discussion. Questions like “Why did the non-venomous snake strike the gemsbok?” And “Did it just want to enjoy its bath without interruption?” “Do you like to be interrupted when you are in the tub?”.
By the way, it was amazing how smart these country kids are and how many of them knew the difference between “venomous” and “poisonous”. And there are plenty of both in our area.
Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
