Suppressor wait times!

If you want your suppressor quick, e-file as an Individual. Silencer Shop submitted it to ATF on a Monday and I picked it up Friday morning.

I had heard it was court ordered that they be approved quicker now. Not sure on the truth to that, but they certainly used to drag their feet.

I think they finally got funded adequately.

Pretty sure the ATF has never been underfunded! Although I'm sure they think they are. Any dollar sent their way is worse than a waste of tax payers money.

Yes and no about being quicker. If you don’t do the trust it’s quick but I don’t want my family to deal with becoming instant felons if I die. With trust it really hasn’t sped up. I did a family trust with my wife and my adult sons named on it and have been waiting since March.

I’ve had 2 come back next day recently when done as an individual.

I’ve got several in the past on a Trust but being single, with no children, and all my family living in a PRC type state decided the trust wait time wasn’t worth it. If I die the cans are getting sold anyways. If I’m in a situation where I now need a trust because I’m married or have kids I’ll refile and repay the tax stamp but I’m secretly hoping suppressors are removed from the NFA by then

Yes, I agree, it’s quite possible suppressors will be removed from NFA restrictions, as they should. Hopefully congress acts!
