"Republic of South Africa (South Africa) recently enacted Expropriation Act 13 of 2024 (Act), to enable the government of South Africa to seize ethnic minority Afrikaners’ agricultural property without compensation."

This act was approved at the end of last year (2024), but is going into effect now.

The US has responded by immediately withholding all foreign aid to RSA.

I'm curious what you think will be the impact on US citizens traveling to RSA and hunting safaris in RSA as many are on family owned farms (that could be seized by the government at any time).

Julius Malema, EFF Stadium chant

At the link above you can see the EFF having a political rally. The stadium is filled with people chanting "Death to the Boers, shoot to kill.... etc."

His party received 1.5 million votes in the last election.

This does not make me feel warm and fuzzy. Especially in light of the above referenced legislation.

I saw that video as well... NY Times tried to spin it as "metaphorical" death... from an old chant.

But then in a more recent interview, he was asked, "Did you mean actual killing?" and he said "Not YET, but revolutions require killing eventually."

Great, right as I’m starting to plan my first SA safari.
Likewise, except that mine is booked for June/July of this year. Hopefully people take a step back, consider the situation in the long-term, and this doesn't go off the rails, but that does not seem to be the way of the world. Based on the not-so-distant past, I suspect some painful lessons will be administered at some point; whether they are learned remains to be seen.

You'll be fine.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
