Thinking about buying one of these to put on my .505 gibbs, but the website doesn't do a great job of representing the colors. Would love to see some actual photos, thanks in advance

Heres my only Boyd stock, a laminate on a Rem 600.

Almost positive it is nutmeg color. It is their Platinum pattern, not the classic. The Classic has finger grooves on forend that is not classic imo and I dont care for.

M1917 in Boyd nutmeg laminate - it fit beautifully!View attachment 714415

I have a nutmeg laminate stock that looks essentially the same as this. So close that it really isn't worth digging out and posting.

I have felt like, of their laminate colors, the nutmeg laminate color seems to be the most consistent in color from stock to stock.

Some of the more unnatural colors like blues, or reds; I have seen some where the color is fairly washed out in places so that areas that should be colored come off as white or grey.

Someone just a little bit ago posted a picture of a Boyd's walnut laminate stock with (I think) 50% figure. It was surprisingly nice looking. I don't know why Boyd's doesn't do a better job showing pics of all their stocks with as long as they have been in business and had a website.

I've got the camo laminate on my Whelen.
I'll try to get a picture when I get home from work.
I appreciate the sentiment, but I am only looking at the traditional looking stocks and I don't want you to inconvenience yourself on my behalf. I know I hate digging guns out of my safe

Agreed on their website. I'll try to find that photo

Just for reference I went and dug mine out anyway. Laminate on a Ruger and plain walnut on a vz24. Both Boyds.

Nice!

I am very thankful that Boyds is still around. I am fearful for the day we lose them, we lose so much in a ready to eat product.

Please excuse the handgun.

- Nutmeg stock.
- Fleur de Lis chequering
- Ebony forend tip

Custom 243Win built on a Mod70 action. Fluted stainless steel bull barrel with black cerakote.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
